SupportLocal.MUSIC vs Redwood Craftworks - What's the Difference?

What is SupportLocal.MUSIC?

SupportLocal.MUSIC is an online store dedicated to celebrating local music culture through original apparel and merchandise. Every design is created to honor the artists, venues, and communities that keep live music alive.

What is Redwood Craftworks?

Redwood Craftworks is the small, independent design and production studio behind SupportLocal.MUSIC. We handle everything from original artwork and design to production, fulfillment coordination, and custom client orders.

What is the relationship between SupportLocal.MUSIC and Redwood Craftworks?

SupportLocal.MUSIC is powered by Redwood Craftworks. Think of SupportLocal.MUSIC as the storefront and brand — focused on music culture and community — and Redwood Craftworks as the creative engine behind it. All designs, production decisions, and customer relationships are managed by Redwood Craftworks.

Why do you sell products not related to local music?

Great question — and fair one. SupportLocal.MUSIC started as a celebration of local music culture, and that will always be at the heart of what we do. But creativity doesn't always stay in one lane.Misheard Lyrics, Cancer Awareness, and other collections reflect the same spirit — humor, community, and things that matter to real people. Music fans are whole people with a sense of humor, causes they care about, and stories that go beyond the stage.Think of it this way: a local music venue doesn't just play one genre. We don't just make one kind of shirt. As long as a design is original, meaningful, or just genuinely funny — it has a home here.

What ever happened to gravMade?

When I first began making custom shirts for myself and friends, I began branding them as gravMade, based on my last name.  About a year in, once I started producing merchandise for local bands and venues, I decided to re-brand gravMade as Redwood Craftworks in honor of my father, a forester by trade, who always loved the great redwood and sequoia trees.

Product Information & Details

How do your T-shirts fit, and how should I choose a size?

Our T-shirts are printed on Gildan 64000 (Softstyle) tees unless otherwise noted. This shirt has a modern classic fit — not oversized, but not tight.

Each product page includes a size chart image showing garment measurements for width, length, and sleeve length. Measurements are taken with the shirt laid flat.

Please note:

  • Measurements may vary by up to ±1.5 inches (3.8 cm) due to normal manufacturing tolerances.
  • Width is flat measured across the chest, not body circumference.
  • Length is measured from the top of the shoulder to the bottom hem.

If you are between sizes or prefer a looser fit, we generally recommend sizing up.

Do shirt colors look exactly the same as the product images?

Product images shown on our site are digital mockups used to represent each design and color option. Actual shirt colors may vary slightly due to screen settings, lighting, and natural variations in fabric dye between production runs. These differences are normal in apparel printing and do not indicate a defect.

Orders, Shipping, & Delivery

How does shipping work for customers?

Orders placed through our online store are produced and shipped by our trusted print-on-demand partners.

Because each item is made to order, customers can typically expect delivery within 7–12 business days from the time an order is placed.

How does shipping work for client orders?

Shipping and delivery for client orders (custom, bulk, or project-based orders arranged outside the online store) are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Delivery method, timeline, and any associated costs are discussed and agreed upon during the project planning stage.

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes. You can place an order as a guest with no obligation to create an account. We do recommend that you create an account, however, if you’d like to check your order history and have your shopping basket items and payment details saved for next time. It’s quick and easy to create an account. Just visit https://www.yourstorename.com/register and follow the instructions on-screen.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information via email so you can follow its progress.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes!

Free shipping is available for online orders on:

  • Orders of 3 or more items, or
  • Orders totaling $59 or more

Free shipping will be automatically applied at checkout when eligible.

What countries do you ship to?

Currently we only ship to the 50-states of The United States of America.

I’m local — can I pick up my order?

We love the local support! However, items purchased through our online store are printed and shipped directly by our production partners and are not produced or stocked in-house.

Because of this, local pickup or local delivery isn’t available for online store orders. Shipping options are applied automatically at checkout.

When applicable, local pickup or delivery options may be available for custom or bulk orders and will be discussed as part of the project details.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs depend on the item you’ve ordered. If your order value is more than $59, we provide free shipping within the U.S.

How do I cancel my order?

Orders placed on the SupportLocal.MUISC store are immediately routed to our production partners for fulfillment and unfortunately cannot be cancelled.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express Discover, and Diners Club. We only take payment once your order has been shipped. We also accept payment by Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal Wallet or Amazon Pay. If you decide to use any of these methods, you’ll be taken to their website, where you’ll be prompted to log in and process your payment. You’ll then be directed back to our merchant website once your transaction is complete.

Returns & Exchanges - Retail Orders

Who does this policy apply to?

This policy applies to retail purchases of Redwood Craftworks in-house designs made through our online store at SupportLocal.MUSIC.

Custom orders, bulk orders, and client projects (including band or venue merchandise) are handled separately and are subject to the terms agreed upon during the ordering process.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Because our retail items are made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for incorrect size selection or color preference.

However, if your item arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, we’ll absolutely make it right.

What if my item arrives damaged or has a printing issue?

If your retail order arrives damaged or with a printing defect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • A brief description of the issue
  • Clear photos of the problem

We’ll review the issue and arrange a replacement or refund, as appropriate.

What if the shirt color looks different than expected?

Product images use digital mockups, and actual shirt colors may vary slightly due to screen settings and fabric dye variations.

Because of this, minor color differences are not considered defects and are not eligible for return or exchange. We always do our best to select the closest possible color match.

What if it doesn't fit?

Please double-check the size chart before ordering. Every listing includes an image with a Size Chart and you can read more about sizing in our FAQ here. We are unable to offer returns or exchanges for items ordered in the wrong size.

If you’re unsure about sizing, feel free to reach out before ordering, and we’ll do our best to help.

What about custom, bulk, or Band/Venue/Business orders?

Custom projects, bulk orders, and client merchandise are final once approved and produced.

Any issues with client orders (including defects or errors) should be reported promptly and will be handled according to the terms agreed upon during the project.

How do I contact you about an issue?

You can reach us through the contact form on our website. Please include your order number and any relevant photos so we can help you as quickly as possible.

Customers vs Clients - What's the Difference?

What do you mean by “Customer”?

A Customer is anyone who places an order through our online store.

Customer orders typically:

  • Are individual, made-to-order items
  • Feature in-house Redwood Craftworks designs
  • Are fulfilled through our print-on-demand partners

Policies related to returns, exchanges, shipping, and fulfillment for these orders are listed under the Customer / Retail sections of this FAQ.

What do you mean by “Client”?

A Client is anyone who places an order outside of the online store.

Client orders may include:

  • Custom projects
  • Bulk or event orders
  • Band or venue merchandise
  • Items produced in-house, through outside partners, or a combination of both

Client orders are handled on a project basis, with production methods, timelines, and terms discussed and approved prior to production.

Why does the FAQ separate Customers and Clients?

Orders placed through the online store and orders arranged directly are produced and fulfilled differently.

This FAQ is organized to help you quickly find the information that applies to how your order was placed.

If you’re unsure which category applies to you, feel free to reach out before ordering and we’ll be happy to help.

How Our Products Are Made

How are retail (online store) items produced?

Retail items sold through our online store at SupportLocal.MUSIC are produced using print-on-demand services through trusted production partners.

Once an order is placed, items are printed and shipped directly from our production partner. This allows us to offer a wide range of designs, sizes, and colors without overproducing inventory.

All designs are created by Redwood Craftworks, and we carefully select materials and print methods to meet our quality standards.

Are retail items made in-house?

Retail print-on-demand items are not produced in-house. They are printed and fulfilled by our production partner after an order is placed.

This does not affect design ownership or quality control — every design is original and approved by Redwood Craftworks before being offered for sale.

How are custom and client orders produced?

Client orders (bands, venues, events, and bulk merchandise) are produced using a mix of in-house production and outsourced printing, depending on the product, quantity, and timeline.

This flexible approach allows us to deliver the best balance of quality, customization, and turnaround time.

What is made in-house?

The following items are produced entirely in-house:

  • Laser engraving
  • Vinyl cutting and heat pressing (including koozies and select apparel)
  • Select custom apparel finishing and small-batch items

When something is made in-house, it is handled directly by Redwood Craftworks from start to finish.

What is produced using outside partners for client orders?

For some client projects, we may:

  • Source blank garments
  • Use DTG printing through trusted partners
  • Apply graphics or finishing in-house after printing

Any outsourced production is coordinated and quality-checked by Redwood Craftworks.

Will I know how my order is being produced?

Yes. For client projects, production methods are discussed during the planning and approval process so there are no surprises.

Retail orders follow the print-on-demand process described above.

Cancer Awareness Collection

Are you a nonprofit organization?

No, as stated in our Cancer Awareness Pledge, Redwood Craftworks is not a nonprofit organization. We are a small, independent business who wants to give back.

How do donations work for the Cancer Awareness collection?

For every shirt purchased from our Cancer Awareness collection, Redwood Craftworks donates $10 to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research (The V Foundation).

Do all Cancer Awareness products include a donation?

At this time, the only items in our Cancer Awareness collection are T-shirts and for every T-shirt purchased, a $10 donation is made. As products are added to the collection, appropriate donation amounts will be determined and listed.

Why a fixed donation amount rather than a percentage?

Our production costs can vary from sale to sale based on size, color, and fulfillment factors. A fixed donation per shirt allows us to make consistent, transparent contributions without tracking individual profit margins on every order—ensuring each purchase supports cancer research in a clear, dependable way.

When are donations made?

Donations are made on a Quarterly basis and reflect completed purchase from the Cancer Awareness collection for that quarter.

Why focus on cancer awareness?

Cancer has touched nearly every one of us — through family, friends, loss, and survival. After being asked to design and make shirts for friends, we decided to create our Cancer Awareness collection to honor those stories, keep the need for research visible, and help support life-saving work.

Why did you choose The V Foundation?

We chose the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research because of its long-standing commitment to transparency and impact. The V Foundation was established with an endowment that covers all operating costs, allowing 100% of direct donations to be used for cancer research.

As of October 30, 2025, the V Foundation has earned a Four-Star Charity rating from Charity Navigator (its highest rating) with a 100% score for 13 consecutive years, and holds a Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid (formerly GuideStar).

Can I request that my donation go to a charity of my choice?

We’re honored that customers care deeply about where donations go. At this time, all donations from the Cancer Awareness collection are directed exclusively to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. Focusing our giving on a single organization allows us to make consistent, meaningful contributions and ensures transparency in how donations are handled and reported.

We encourage customers to support additional causes that are meaningful to them directly, and we’re grateful to everyone who helps keep cancer research and awareness a priority.
